Prayers for Gracie!

I read this story on another blog and have been following the updates on baby Gracie's blog since. I was truly touched by her story. It seems almost unfair that I have a perfectly healthy baby girl of my own and somewhere else this precious angel is fighting for her life!

Gracie and her family have been through so much! I could not even imagine being in their shoes. They are in need of a miracle! Please pray for her! She is so precious!

Gracie was born last March with hypoplastic left heart syndrome HLHS. I have been reading this blog and praying for Gracie. Go to her blog to get the whole story. This precious baby and her family have gone through one procedure and complication after another. She was scheduled for her second surgery on Feb.12th but her little heart was not healthy enough to risk it. She was put on the heart transplant list...... and amazingly they found a heart for her only 1 1/2 weeks later.

This is little Gracie as she waited to go in to surgery to get her new heart Sat. night. Gracie got her new heart... but it is not working right. There is only about a 1% chance that the new heart will be defective..... and Gracie got the 1% heart. They did not realize the new heart was bad until they had removed Gracie's heart and put the new one in. She is now on the heart re-transplant list.

This little girl and her family have gone through so much.... physically, emotionally and financially. Would you please pray for them. They are asking for our prayers and appreciate the support. They have seen one miracle after another take place since Gracie was born 11 months ago. They believe another miracle can happen if it is God's will. They have not given up.

Bella vs. Conjunctivitis

Yesterday, I noticed that my sweet Bella's eye was a bit red just in the corner. I considered that it might just be irritated due to our recent move to the driest and dustiest place in the US., but in the back of my mind I was thinking...Eeeek, Conjunctivitis aka. Pink Eye!

She came in to my room this morning with a horrible sounding cough and the reddest little eye I have ever seen! Poor thing! So Robby and Bella headed to the hospital, and sure enough...
Pink Eye!

They gave her some antibiotic drops! So hopefully she will be all better in a day or two! If the drops don't work that means that she has viral conjunctivitis and we will probably all get it! Yikes!

So for now as a precaution she is quarantined upstairs for today! At least I finished her room this morning so she will be busy playing with all of her toys and books that I will have to disinfect tomorrow. Fun Fun!

5 Months Old!

My Lilly Bean is 5 months old as of the 15th. :o(
She is getting too big too fast! She weighs almost 16 lbs!

She has been trying desperately to crawl and sit up! Her vocabulary consists of "Hi" and
"Da-Da" along with some other hilarious baby sounds!

She still is the smiliest baby in the entire world!

Bella's 1st Haircut!

Miss Bella has been wanting to cut her hair forever, and on Valentine's day, I decided that it was finally time! Daddy wasn't too happy about it, but it had to be done. Her bangs always ended up falling in her face! By the middle of the day she looked like a little ragamuffin!

So excited!

A little nervous I think! LOL!

Cut! Cut! Cut!

Time to dry!

Nothing dramatic...Just a trim and some bangs! She's so cute!

So Pretty!
